The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga: Empowering Communities

Waterhouse Pubic Relations believes in good corporate social responsibility. As such, we donate part of our time and skills in pro bono campaigns that we feel will most benefit our local community. The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga is committed to creating initiatives that help disadvantaged individuals obtain economic empowerment. One of the organization's main challenges is communicating its beneficial programs to urban and inner city audiences. Waterhouse PR is lending a helping hand to this non-profit organization by offering its services pro-bono.

Objective

To create continuous communication with urban and inner city audiences and increase attendance at all Urban League programs.

Strategies

Waterhouse PR's goal was to nurture the relationship between the Urban League and its audience. Creating continual communication would allow the Urban League to be a constant presence in the community. This presence would help build trust and encourage participation among the targeted audience.

Result Highlights

Urban League staff members have become frequent guests on several urban radio stations in Chattanooga. On-air interviews discussing upcoming programs and activities have proven beneficial in increasing overall awareness as well as boosting attendance at events. The Urban League has experienced the most significant increase in event registration immediately following the radio programs. This continual communication has not only helped promote the Urban League's activities but also establish positive brand awareness.

Waterhouse PR continues to support the efforts of the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga.
