2007 Incline Awards Honors Best In Public Relations

Waterhouse Public Relations was honored with the top public relations award at the Seventh Annual Incline Awards, hosted by the Lookout Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

The Incline Awards recognize and celebrate the best in public relations, communications and marketing practices. The 2007 awards were judged by the Bluegrass Chapter of Louisville, Ky.

Waterhouse Public Relations received the Lookout Award, recognizing the best of the best in this year’s entries, for its “Integrated Marketing Communications” campaign for the Clarksville Department of Electricity. The project was designed to brand the municipal-owned company as a qualified competitor to offer telephone, cable and high-speed internet access to the people of Clarksville, Tn.

Seven Incline Awards were awarded to local organizations for excellence in public relation practices. They include:
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee – Community Relations for Walking Works for Schools Program to Combat Childhood Obesity
Unum – Community Relations for Unum United Way Campaign
Waterhouse Public Relations – Integrated Marketing Communications for CBL/Madison Square Mall & Parkway Place Youth Escort Policy
Unum – Internal Publications for Connections
Unum – Internal Publications for One Magazine
Waterhouse Public Relations – Marketing Communications for Mayfield Flavor Decisions ‘06

Four additional awards were given as “Honorable Mentions.” They include:
WTCI-TV (PBS) – Public Service for Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood Sweater Drive
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee – Media Relations for 2006 BlueCross BlueShield Deskside Tour City of Chattanooga – Special Events and Observances for Mayor Takes Homeless to the Movies
BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee – Special Events and Observances for BlueCross BlueShield Spring Fling

PRSA is a professional organization in the nation for public relations practitioners. Chattanooga’s Lookout Chapter was founded in 1994 and has grown from the original eight founders to 60 current members. The chapter is responsible for serving all local communication practitioners through professional development activities and provides assistance and guidance to communications students at local universities.
